PFAS Free Food Packaging

Our growing line of fiber and paper PFAS Free food packaging is compliant with the strictest composting standards including recent bans passed in California, New York, and Washington. These products are BPI Certified Compostable or CMA Certified Compostable and cannot contain intentionally added PFAS in order to become certified. The PLA, PHA, Bamboo, Cellophane, Paper, and NoTree paper packaging items we carry are also PFAS-free.

These products are compliant with the packaging bans in California, New York, Washington, and Vermont.

Why is PFAS used in food packaging?

A trace amount of PFAS is approved by the FDA for use in packaging products as a grease resistant additive. This is being phased out by the industry as states begin to ban them.
